So where do I get Ohio's COVID-19 data to look at it myself?
I'm glad you asked! So here is a bit of a pictorial tutorial to help walk you through getting to the csv (data) file and what kinds of things you can do with it.
Step 1. go to https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/
Step 2. On that home page, scroll down a little and click on 'COVID-19 Ohio Dashboard'
On the next screen, right-click on 'Download the summary data (CSV)' and 'Download linked file.'
Step 3. Open the csv file with your favorite spreadsheet program. (I use excel on a Mac, so it might look a little different)
Step 4. Start poking around. I have circled two very helpful functions. In the red circle is the 'Sort & Filter' function. When you click this one, you want to choose 'Custom sort...' from the list and your page should look like mine. You can add and subtract how many things you want to sort by clicking on the + and - buttons circled in green. Finally, the button circled in blue is handy when you're searching for a specific county. This is a LONG file!
Thank you
