Ohio University continues its harassment against its own students
Ohio University is truly committed to the insanity. This threatening letter was sent to a student at Ohio University today (shared with permission).
Parents and students have been pushing back against their inane policy (readable here) which links back directly to the CDC’s community levels map. As I’ve been pointing out again and again lately, the CDC’s hospitalization data is wildly inflated from the actual numbers that are occurring locally. But to no avail. One parent informed me that they received a response back from the OU COVID czar that they will not be changing that mask policy.
To make matters more infuriating, because it is only based on the nonsensical CDC numbers, OU implemented the mask mandate on Monday, August 29th, and as of the CDC numbers released today, they will be announcing dropping the mask mandate tomorrow (see below for today’s numbers).
But it doesn’t matter how nonsensical it is for these students, flipping back and forth week to week. This student is now being threatened with expulsion for not wearing a mask in class this week, while last week it was perfectly fine to not wear a mask, and next week it will again be ok.
This has absolutely nothing to do with health, it is just about compliance.
