Wastewater numbers have gone down considerably over the past week. When the numbers go down, they are not representative of the total community. But when they go up… it’s definitely newsworthy. The moral of my story is: you’re right. It’s all crap.
That's exactly what is going on in Athens right now. It's right about the level it has always been, it just dropped for a very short period of time before going to its normal level again.
I live in Sandusky County. We have two hospitals in our county, one affiliated with Firelands Medical Center in Sandusky, the other affiliated with Promedica in Toledo. More people in Fremont and west doctor there than in Sandusky. I'm surprised we're going with Erie county according to the CDC, although I know because of tourism there probably is a good chance their numbers of cases might be high. But this whole system is a sad, sad joke.
My sister is double vaxxed, single boosted. She commented on our health board's FB stats this week, appalled that people aren't wearing masks. They've got her brainwashed and terrified.
Ugh. I'm so sorry for that. The information is pretty easily accessible, it's just that no one wants to LOOK! And so they continue to get away with outright lies.
So far they haven't even triggered it. But you nailed what the next easy manipulation is.
Reminds me of a childhood story my spouse's dad who had a programming accounting business back in the 70's.
He would ask his young son "What does 2 + 2 equal?" The answer "whatever you want it to be".
An invaluable lesson for a future scientist and educator who also taught stats and can see through the bs (unintentional crap reference 😊).
It's all full of crap! Wastewater measurements need not apply 😉

Wow! Just wow!
